As a culture obsessed with maximizing, optimizing and perfecting, we are used to seeking out life advice from a whole array of “experts.”

Has it made us happier? Do we feel better prepared for the road ahead? Does all this competing and hustling lead to peace of mind? Mary McGreevy’s presentation answers that question (hint: it’s a no) and presents a fascinating, provocative and ultimately inspiring new-but-old source of wisdom: obituaries.

Weaving her own personal story with a variety of obituaries, Mary explores how to reframe our ideas of success and failure, and how to focus instead on the tiny moments of life.

From hilarious, outrageous and shocking to poignant and bittersweet, these obituaries will leave you with an appreciation for what really matters in our jaunt around the sun.

Join us at Saturday’s keynote session to hear tips from dead people (200k followers and growing).

She loves nothing more than speaking and writing about obituaries and the dead people who are her best teachers.
