This interactive presentation explores the diverse ways people connect to something greater than themselves, from traditional religious practices to nature-based rituals, creativity, meditation, service, and beyond.
This session includes a brief self-assessment to help you reflect on your current spiritual life and identify areas for growth.
Attendees can share their spiritual practices, and we will explore simple, practical ways to weave spirituality into your daily routine—offering your mind space to rest, renew, and rise above life’s stressors.
Join us as we reflect on what nurtures the soul and deepens meaning across a variety of paths. All are welcome.
Bio
Emily is the Program Director at Assisi Heights Spirituality Center, where she curates spiritual and educational programs that foster reflection, hope, and growth. Her background includes founding a wellness studio and leading Rochester Women Magazine, amplifying diverse voices and stories. Emily holds a degree in French Education and leads with a relationship-based approach that fosters trust and connection. Originally from Illinois, she lives in Rochester with her husband and two sons, and is active in local theater and community service. Her passion for inclusive spaces and holistic well-being shapes everything she does.
Full Biography
Emily is Program Director at Assisi Heights Spirituality Center, where she curates and coordinates spiritual and educational programs in an environment of hope, prayer, reflection and enrichment.
Previously, Emily was the owner, editor and publisher of Rochester Women Magazine, where she led efforts to amplify the voices and stories of people across the region. She also owned Empowered Wellness & Fitness Studio, a community of people pursuing fitness and holistic well-being.
Emily holds a degree in French Education, and while her early academic and business experiences may seem varied, they’ve shaped her distinctive, integrative approach to leadership and community building.
Originally from Illinois, Emily moved to Minnesota to attend St. Olaf College, where she met her husband, Justin, a Minnesota native. They lived in Northfield for seven years, welcoming two sons, James and Danny. In 2007, they relocated to Rochester, where they continue to grow roots. Her wide-ranging interests—including travel, cooking, singing, dancing, acting, sewing, reading and gathering around good food and wine—inspire her work and enrich her community contributions. She serves on the board of the Women’s Shelter and Support Center and is a volunteer actor in local theater. With a strong abundance mindset, she is committed to creating inclusive spaces where all are welcomed and valued.
